October 9 2009 release
Dear customer,
Embase.com has released its latest update on October 9th. This release is again a major development step and brings us closer to the re-launch of Embase.com in November.
The October release focuses on extending the recognized strength of comprehensiveness and introduces interoperability with Scopus, Elsevier’s multi-disciplinary abstract and citation database.
The key updates are:
- Introduction of indexed Articles in Press
- Introduction of Cited-By Counts

Inclusion of Articles in Press in Embase.com represents a significant step forward for comprehensiveness and currency of Embase.com. In addition, Embase.com is going one step further than the competition: Articles in Press in Embase.com will be indexed. You will be able to:
- Search Articles in Press using Emtree
- Limit searches to Articles in Press, retrieving only the latest information, ahead of print
- Define alerts to include (or exclude) Articles in Press
Introduction of Cited-By Counts
Cited-By Counts will be displayed in both theSession Results andRecord Views. Clicking on the Cited-By Counts will take you to Scopus. The seamless link enables you to complement your Embase search with author and citation tracking and reviewing multi-disciplinary sources from Scopus.
