January 29 2010 Release

Dear customer,

Please find details of the latest Embase developments below:

In-Process records

In-Process will greatly improve the currency of Embase.

Until now, Embase records have been through a full manual indexing before being loaded online - a process that takes on average two weeks. As from February 04th, records are loaded as soon as the citation and abstract is available from the publisher. Although the full indexing is not yet available, the In-Process records are enriched with Emtree index terms, automatically generated from title and abstract.

In-Process records will be replaced by records with full manual indexing (based on the full text) as soon as they are available. In some cases In-Process records replace Article-in-Press records - the latter being records made available by some Publishers before the full citation details are known.

Integration of www.embase.com and info.embase.com
